The American Society of Echocardiography’s Journal for the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE) recently published the results from a recent medical mission trip to India in which the Studycast cloud PACS platform and echocardiogram reporting software was used.
The study demonstrated the feasibility of performing sonographer-driven focused echocardiographic studies for identifying the burden of structural heart disease in a community. It was concluded that remote assessment of echocardiograms using a cloud-computing environment may be helpful in expediting care in remote areas.
